Privacy policy

This policy explains how ADSEO Corporation ("we"), operator of RatedHomeContractor, handles personal information under BC's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and, where it applies, PIPEDA.

Visitors

We collect anonymous usage statistics to improve the site. If you email us or submit a form, we collect what you send (such as name, email, phone and message) and use it only to respond to you. We do not sell personal information.

Lead requests (when launched)

If you ask to be connected with pros, we share your request details only with the businesses you choose or that we tell you about on the form, and only for that request.

Business listings

Listings contain business contact information that the business itself has made public (such as business name, business phone, website and business address), used for the purpose of helping people contact the business. Sole proprietors may ask us to correct or remove their listing at any time; see Corrections & removal.

Retention and security

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected and protect it with reasonable safeguards.

Your rights

You may ask to access, correct or delete your personal information by emailing privacy@ratedhomecontractor.ca. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for BC.
